What can I say, my baby girl is 3 years old! It seems like yesterday that she was starting to walk and talk. We had a great day on Sunday. Ryan was on call Sat. night so he got home about 10:00 on Sunday. We celebrated Regan's birthday at Chuck E. Cheese which she absolutely loves! We brought cake and her presents from us. She was not really interested in the presents as much as "playing" all the games. She would put a token in a game and then hit a few buttons, look at it a little then walk to the next one. She never stayed at any one game for the whole alotted time. She did however figure out that if she waited long enough that tickets would come out of it and she could tear those off. Silly girl! I think Ryan had more fun than she did though and we came out with a lot of tickets!
The picture of Regan is from last Saturday after she received her gift in the mail from Grandpa and Grandma Garry. She got the princess dress, shoes, headbands, lipgloss, fingernail art and some barettes. She was so excited about the lip gloss! Some of you may not know but Regan has a thing for lipstick and shoes. She has put so much lipgloss on that she has a rash around her mouth and she has worn her new shoes so much that she has blisters from them!
Next week my parents will be visiting for the week and I'm sure we will make another trip to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate both Regan and Kael's birthdays. Kael will be one on August 14th.
Regan is going to ride back with my parents to see all of her cousins and other family members. Kael and I will probably make a trip back sometime in August to get her and to visit also.
Today we enrolled Regan in Preschool at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. She was so excited when she saw all the fun things that they will be doing. Right now I have her signed up for Tues and Thurs from 9:00 to 3:00 but if it's too long of a day I will drop her down to 9-11:30. They have a summer program that meets every Wed. so we got to see some other kids there and she ate a snack with them. She was being a little shy but after we left she didn't stop talking about her "school" and she wanted to go back and play with the kids again. I think she will adjust fine to the new experience.
Ryan is in his last week of anesthesia so now the reality of the 80 hr week is just beginning! He is currently working about 60 hrs a week but this will be the last of that luxury. He is on-call tonight and has the rest of the weekend off before he starts a new rotation next week. We are going to the Royal Gorge for the weekend and will be staying in Canon City. I am excited to see this as it will be my first time. Ryan has been there before many years ago so I hope he and the kids enjoy it as well. It is suppose to cool off tomorrow and Friday so we are planning on leaving tomorrow afternoon so we can spend Friday at the Gorge.
Enough for today. We hope everyone is staying cool as I know it has been a scorcher t/o the whole US. We love and miss all of you!

Ryan, Kari, Regan and Kael
